Adelphi Hotel

Saratoga Springs , NY

Project Details

Originally constructed in 1877, the Adelphi rose to iconic status in Saratoga’s tourism industry. The historic hotel was frequented by famous local figures including John Morrissey who is credited with bringing horse racing to the city. Known for its three-story “Saratoga porch,” the hotel’s Italianate design represents the peak of Saratoga Springs development in the mid- to late-nineteenth century.

Richbell Capital purchased the hotel and completed a transformation updating the hotel with modern amenities and luxury while maintaining its historic character. The five-year transformation has captured the hotel’s former glory while modernizing the building to present an upscale appearance.

Heritage secured state and federal historic tax credit approvals for the project.
