Cost: $32 million | Previous Use: U.S. Post Office | Current Use: College of Art

Project Details

The Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) currently occupies the former U.S. Post Office in Portland, Oregon. The $32 million rehabilitation converted this 1918 neo-classical building into the new home of PNCA including classrooms, studios, library, and exhibition spaces. The decorative lobby with marble floors, travertine walls, bronze storefronts, and detailed coffered ceiling were retained and elegantly juxtaposed against the modern three-story atrium.
