In this month’s Historic Tax Credit Tool Box article in the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits, Heritage President Cindy Hamilton discusses the rehabilitation of the historic Standard Gage factory in Poughkeepsie, New York. Now called the Northside Hub, this redevelopment features carbon-neutral offices and community spaces for events and educational programs. By leveraging both federal and state HTCs, the project was able to offset substantial rehabilitation costs while aligning preservation with sustainability goals. Since 1964, Scenic Hudson has led grassroots environmental efforts across the Hudson Valley.
