Project Details

The IBM Building was Mies van der Rohe’s last work.  The 52-story office skyscraper is located along the north bank of the Chicago River.  It is notable not only for its association with van der Rohe, but for its many engineering initiatives.  Today, the upper 39 stories of the building remain offices, notably the headquarters of the American Medical Association, while the lower 13 stories have been adapted for luxury hotel use under the Langham nameplate.
