Troy , New York
Cost: $25 million | Previous Use: Office | Current Use: Apartments

Project Details

The Rosenblum Companies redeveloped the former Troy Record Building into The News Apartments. The original building is a 3-story Dutch colonial Revival commercial structure constructed between 1906 and 1908. Since that time there were subsequent additions in 1924, 1935, 1947, and 1967 and the building was continuously used for newspaper production until it became vacant in 2015.

The News Apartments combines a sensitive adaptation of The Troy Record Building with a five-story addition, 191 residential apartments, ample amenities, and numerous environmentally friendly systems. The building references The Records’ historic operations through furniture made from salvaged artifacts, custom finishes, and hand-painted  murals.
