Project Details
Located in Philadelphia’s Harrowgate neighborhood, the former William Brown Hosiery Mill has been transformed into affordable workspaces, residences and retail space. J-centrel is now home to community-driven residents and businesses. The building features contemporary industrial apartments sited around a landscaped commons that fosters collaboration for its occupants. The interior retains the industrial character with wood floors and exposed beam ceilings.
Heritage listed the building in the National Register of Historic Places and obtained state and federal historic tax credit approvals.
